Q. Are you members of Greenpeace or do you just sympathize with it?
A. We are members.
Q. Are you against nuclear power just for war's purposes, or also in
capacity of alternative energy?
A. For both reasons.
Q. What do you feel inside you when you sing? What does singing mean to
you?
A. It's like walking drunk on a high wire, in the better moments. I like
that thrill.
Q. Some people think that the only way to get rid of drugs would be to
allow their use; do you agree? How, according to you, could we defeat
drugs?
A. I'm afraid we can't in the near future. Abusing drugs rejects the state
of the mind of the human society - we gotta cure its sickness first.
Q. In Italy, after Dance With Me, Alphaville didn't make any kind of
promotion for the other singles - I think it's the same in other countries.
Why?
A. We started concentrating ourselves on the production of the third
Alphaville LP very early and had no time for further promotion.
Q. What's the most important thing in Love? What role has sex in an intimate
connection?
A. You have your sex, and you find your love, OK?!
Q. Is there an Alphaville song that you particularly like to sing?
A. Vingt Mille Lieues Sous Les Mers.
Q. What would you do if one day a fan meeting you burst into tears and said
"I love you"?
A. I'd ask her what makes her so sad about it.
Q. What's your relationship with Ariane?
A. She's my manager now. We're best friends, anyway.
