This was my first serious attempt at creating a superhero story... It was also my first serious attempt at writing a comic script. "Overman" first appeared in Phase Two, drawn and lettered by Johnny Rothwell, one of the most popular and talented artists to emerge from the workshops of the Irish Science Fiction Association. Johnny's original art was in black and white, but I decided to add some colour just to see if I could. My first experiment was with the cover (reproduced on the left) and I liked it enough to do the same for the rest of the pages.
