Harrison's first published short story, originally titled "I Walk Through Rocks" before publication.

HH:"I was doing small illustrations for Worlds Beyond, but I got 'flu and an infected throat, and I couldn't draw ... I typed a story out and asked Damon what to do with it, and he bought it for $100. My agent then was Fred Pohl, and Fred anthologised it, and I got another $100. So I did very well with my first story: I haven't done that well with a single story since, I'll tell you!" (Interview with Paul Tomlinson, 1984)
